Pint of Science 2018 in cartoons

This year was the first ever Pint of Science in Reading (UK), bringing new and exciting science to our local pubs! I had the privilege to be part of the organising team for the Planet Earth theme, together with the brilliant Katie Cooper & Chanida Fung. The Planet Earth talks were spread over 3 nights, covering the following topics: “Noah’s Ark: Research on animals big and small”, “Your World, Your Science” and “Flooding: is it all water under the bridge?”.

This was also my first go at drawing my impressions of an event live! Below are the cartoons I’ve made from the Planet Earth talks. Enjoy!

Flooding: is it all water under the bridge?

As I was speaking that night, I was unfortunately unable to draw cartoons for this event. Luckily for us, Rebecca Emerton has written a brilliant blog post about it, which you can read here.
