Inspire: a poem about the science we do & more…

In April this year, Jess NeumannRebecca Emerton & myself took part in the Poetry Slam organised at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2018. The challenge? To write a poem about science and recite it in front of an audience at the EGU Conveners Reception. Jess wrote a brilliant poem about the “science we do” & “the time we spend in the bar”, called Inspire. But we stretched this a little further, and recited the poem dressed as unicorns.

Why unicorns? You will have to read the poem (illustrated by me) and/or watch the video to understand. Enjoy!
